Here Are Top 7 Best Baby Swings of 2018!

Fisher Price Snugappuppy Dreams is an advanced version of the Cradle’n Swing units and a lot have been added and improved. Going through other baby swings, I kept coming back to this because of its unmatched reliability and features.

You can never say anything about the comfort this baby swing can bring. It offers two motions: the common front-to-back swinging and the side-to-side that also provides six-speed settings that would let you find the perfect motion to soothe your little one, plus the seats rotate and reclined in just press and turn!

Your baby will calm down with six song choices and nature sounds that will make your little man snooze off within a few minutes. And if it’s not nap time yet, let your baby enjoy the motorized dancing animal mobiles plus a mirrored globe for discovery.

And the seat - comfortably soft and cozy, with a body and head support. And by the way, the fabric is machine washable. It can be folded for storage and includes a plug-in adapter and can run on D and 4D batteries. Out of the box, the assembly has a lot of connections but no sweat.

Safety is also the first concern with its solid base and a 5-point harness which keeps your baby from sitting up or leaning over – all that your baby do that freaks you out.

This baby swing has a generous weight limit of 25 kg, and with Smart Swing Technology, it automatically weighs your baby, and speed will not slow down as your baby grows, unlike some other baby swings.

I love that it has a bunch of themes that are really cute and fun, and since my baby can’t choose yet, I personally found Snugapuppy the cutest!

PROS

  • Cradle design
  • Swinging speed options
  • thumbs-up
    2 Power options

CONS

  • Assembly is hard for others
  • Some says legs were not balanced
  • Some complaint of faulty motors

Best baby swing for the money

This baby swing is a value in your home and money. It is designed to fit small spaces on which legs are height adjustable from compact to full size in an easy transition. Also, it can be easily folded for storage and carry from one room to another.

Of course, it doesn’t forget its main purpose of soothing your little one. Swing speeds are adjustable to your baby’s moods and soft toys in an overhead bar are charms, though it’s not as entertaining as those baby swings with music.

Well, low price means lesser features. Aside from having no music at all, it also doesn’t have reclined option though it holds your baby in lying down position. Also, it doesn’t have plug-in options. But overall, you get what you need and pay for.

Upgraded Pick & Best Baby Swing for Newborns

The high price of this baby swing is not only because of its cool look but also its ability to perfectly soothe your little one by its design that mimics mom’s natural soothing motion.

The 5 unique motions (car ride, kangaroo, tree swing, rock-a-bye, wave) are just like you when you’re holding your baby. The motion was impressive as well as how quiet it is, and you can control this motions and sounds directly from your Bluetooth compatible smart device. Awesome, right?

Keep your baby entertained with four built-in sounds or connect it to an MP3 Player with your own music. Plus, mobiles are available in interactive and reversible toy balls. Also, for maximum comfort, you can adjust the position to a full recline.

It will also save you lot of batteries with the plug-in option. I also like the design of the legs not sticking out on the sides that usually causes tripping over.

The downside? Not so much with only the 3-point rather than a 5-point harness and of course, the high price which is understandable considering its overall capacity.

The Best Baby Swing & Rocker Combo

Graco knows moms love multi-tasking, much more with baby products. This 2 in 1 baby swing lets you choose to swing or rock your baby.

Aside from functioning two ways, the edge of this combo swing is portability. The built-in carry handle lets you bring the rocker with you. It allows you to keep your baby closer as you want it to be. You may let your little one sleep in the swing first and then transport him to the rocker.

This baby swing does not save on other features just because of the addition of rocker. Seating has three options: front, left, and right which allow your baby to sway in the direction you like.

Though hanged mobile toys are just stationary and could bore your baby, an option of ten songs and five nature sounds are something he can focus when he’s awake. Plus, it comes with two vibrations options to soothe him to sleep.

But because of the additional rocker, the installation allows more connections and size is relatively bigger thus could take a lot of space in the house.

The Best Natural Baby Swing

July 2018 update : Currently unavailable on amazon store

Rounding up my list is a baby swing for natural buffs. The Arm’s reach beautiful dreamer is a connection from a mom’s womb. The swaying motion of this baby swing corresponds to the movement of your baby, just like a mother’s womb.

Also, the gentle motion is not only for soothing your baby to sleep but also improves digestion, helping relieve colic and reflux by the adjustable back.

Though it’s a lot different with the other baby swings, as there are no fancy features like music or sounds, it encourages physical activity. And also, there’s no option for plug-in or batteries which saves you a lot.

The cocoon cover protects your baby from bugs or insects, especially when you are camping outside. Yes, this swing is lightweight, easy to install can be easily moved around.

The downside, it’s only for the infant from birth to 15 pounds or when the child starts to roll over since it doesn’t have buckle system.

Do You Really Need a Baby Swing?

A baby swing could be one of the must-have items on your baby list. You would never realize how much stuff is there to buy for a baby until you have your own. You might think baby swings is not necessary, but then you will realize that it is so much more when your baby comes like you don’t expect it to be – grumpy and clingy.

Although you must not use it to replace your crib or cradle, it could be very helpful to hold your baby while giving yourself that much-awaited break (hello shower), and getting the house stuff done.

However, you might have to think twice before buying a baby swing if you have a limited space in your house. Baby swings are relatively bigger and heavier than a bouncer.

When to Start Using a Baby Swing?

Swings are most helpful during the first few months of your baby as it imitates the rocking motion in the womb, so you can start as soon as your little one comes home (hello rest!).
Just quick reminder- baby swings can be over stimulating or can make your baby dizzy, so it is advised to be used sparingly on newborns two months and below.
Also, don’t leave your little one unattended on the baby swing. But worry not, as all the baby swings on my list is confirmed to be guarded, as long as you adhere to the safety guidelines.
